NOWCAP PAT, serving Fremont and Natrona counties, and WYCRP PAT, serving Albany, Laramie, and Sweetwater counties, have earned the prestigious endorsement from the Parents as Teachers National Center, Inc (PATNC), as Blue Ribbon Affiliates, making these programs top-performing home visiting affiliates within the PATNC’s international network.

Being named a Blue Ribbon Affiliate affirms that both Parents As Teachers programs are high-quality members of the home visiting field, implementing the evidence-based Parents as Teachers model with fidelity. Families served in these five counties across Wyoming are positively impacted by the comprehensive services delivered by PAT. Through the early intervention approach, PAT has been proven to prevent child abuse and neglect, increase parental engagement, and develop greater self-sufficiency in families.

Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based, home visitation program for families who are expecting, or have children up to the age of 5. PAT believes that parents are their child's first and most important teacher, and the certified Parent Educators provide comprehensive, family-driven support to help families to be successful. Along with in-home visits, PAT provides group connections, child and family screenings, and connections to resources in these communities. Through this comprehensive approach, parents are equipped with knowledge and resources to prepare their children for a stronger start in life and greater success in school.
